KENNETH FORDKenneth V. Ford, 94 of Nashville, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Nashville. He was born January 13, 1921 in Mineral Springs to the late Joe and May Tiffin Ford. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a Navy veteran of WWII. He was one of eight men who served as chief radiomen for the admiral of the pacific fleet. He served from 1939 to 1945. He served on the Arkansas State Plant Board, the Hempstead County Farmer’s Association Board, and the South West Arkansas Electric Board (REA), but most people will remember him as co-owning Ford/ McClure Orchards. Growing peaches, apples and cattle with his family. Preceding him in death was his parents, his wife; Floris McClure Ford and a brother; Dexter Ford. His survivors include his daughter, Kathy Ford Brown of Nashville and his grandson, Ty Brown of Nashville, as well as a host of other family and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Nashville Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at Nashville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Nashville City Park Baseball Association, 1301 West Johnson Street, Nashville, AR 71852 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the charity of your choice.
