Mr. Daniel Talmadge Williamson, Jr., age 80, a resident of Dierks, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home. He was born to Daniel Talmadge, Sr., and Mary Lou Chapman Williamson on October 15, 1934. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force where he was a veteran of Vietnam War, and was also retired from the Texarkana Police Department, Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, working cows, and camping. He was an animal lover, especially his dogs, Albert, Bell, and Max. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant daughter, Kasi Williamson. He is survived by his wife, Linda Wormington Williamson of Dierks; four sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel T. III, and Lucinda Williamson of Maybanks, Texas, Thomas and Kathy Williamson of Texarkana, Texas, Floyd Williamson of Maybanks, Texas, and Chase and Deanna Williamson of Dierks; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tamala Stinson, Kaye and J.C. Wade, and Mary and Louis Jones, all of Dierks; fifteen grandchildren, including a special grandchild, Garrett Williamson of Dierks; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary High of Texarkana; as well as other family members and a host of friends. Visitation for Mr. Daniel Williamson will be at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Dierks, Arkansas, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Williamson will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday in the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Dierks, Arkansas, with Rev. J.W. Gilbert officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Section Cemetery, Athens, Arkansas under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
