Bea Willard, age 86, of, Hot Springs, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015.
She was born on October 19, 1928, the daughter of George Washington Tarkington and Allie Marie Freeman Tarkington. On December 11, 1945, she was married to Norman G. Willard, who preceded her in death on May 3, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Conrad; her grandson, Christopher Conrad; two brothers, Leslie Tarkington; and five sisters, Almeda Abernathy, Esther Gibson, Ruthie Tarkington, Hazel Tarkington and Gladys Tarkington.
She was a Jehovah’s Witness and faithfully reached out for any opportunity to share with others about her faith. Bea was a cherished and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loving to spoil her grandchildren every chance she got. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and taking care of her beloved dog, Benji.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Robert Packlain; four grandchildren, Jason Packlain, Nathan Packlain, Amanda Green and Dustin Conrad; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Clark, Alexis Clark and Aaden Packlain; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs at a later date.
