ARKADELPHIA – The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at Henderson State University will present two seminars in Glenwood Aug. 18 to help entrepreneurs start a business and write a business plan.
“Starting a Business in Arkansas” will prepare participants for the intensive business planning process, identify major steps crucial to starting a business, discuss key issues that affect business success, and highlight start-up requirements and common pitfalls entrepreneurs will face.
This session will be held at the Glenwood Country Cub from 1-3 p.m. There is a $30 fee to attend. Veterans can attend for free.
“How to Write a Business Plan” will discuss the business planning process in detail. No matter how large or small, all businesses should have a written plan. A business plan helps to define concepts, evaluate the competition, analyze markets, determine risks, and estimate financial potential.
Business plans are required to obtain a small business loan. Participants will learn the importance of planning and the elements that go into a good plan. This seminar is recommended as a first step for new entrepreneurs.
The seminar will be held from 3:15-5:30 p.m. at the Glenwood Country Club. The cost to attend is $35.
