Trash routes, office schedules altered for holiday

Several area municipalities and governments are altering their trash schedules to observe the upcoming holiday weekend.
The Hempstead County Courthouse and Road & Waste Departments will be closed Mon., July 6 to observe the Independence Day Holiday. Monday’s trash routes will be collected on Tues., July 7 along with Tuesday’s regular route.
Howard County trash pickup for Thurs., July 2 will be conducted as normal, although Fri., July 3 trash pickup will take place Mon., July 6.
The Dierks Municipal Building will be closed Fri., July 3. Trash pickup will remain on the normal schedule and will be picked up on Friday.
There will be no change for Pike County trash routes, although the City of Murfreesboro offices will be closed Fri., July 3. The sanitation department will run regular schedule except that they will pickup both Thursday and Friday collections on Thursday.
