Murfreesboro Mission House’s Back to School Fair Aug. 7-8

The First United Methodist Church Blessed Beginnings Mission House’s 14th annual  Back to School Fair will be held will be held on Friday, Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The School Fair will be held in the church’s “4:12” youth building, located at 403 Second Avenue in Murfreesboro.

There will be free school supplies, back packs, school clothing and shoes.

We want to make sure that our students receive as much as we are able to provide,” said Carey Beth Cole, who reminded to “please only visit the 4:12 building if you are a student or the parent or guardian of a student.”

“Our Mission House will also be open to all families with or without a student in the family,” Cole added. “We will have free clothing, shoes, and household items available. Every family will receive one bag of food.

For those interesting in donating to the School Fair, the Mission House will be accepting clothing, shoes, school supplies and back packs.

The Mission House is a licensed Food Pantry. Anyone who has a garden and would like to donate fresh vegetables, they may do so by contacting the church at (870) 285-2579, Sarnia Minton at 285-2472, Peggy Stockton at 285-3577 or Cole at 285-1269.
