Mount Ida fire department and law enforcement staffs are asking all area residents to come to the Guns ‘N Hoses blood drive with Arkansas Blood Institute (ABI), Noon to 5:45 p.m., Friday, July 24 at the Civic Center. To fuel a little healthy competition, donors will choose which department to support by donating on behalf of law enforcement or the fire department.
Not only will each blood donor save up to three lives with their donation, they’ll also receive a commemorative Guns ‘N Hoses T-shirt, and a voucher for 2 admissions to an Arkansas Travelers Baseball game.
Anyone who is healthy and 16 years of age can donate*, and donations can be made every 56 days.
Donors with Arkansas Blood Institute provide every drop of blood needed by patients in all 21 medical facilities in south central and western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma. For more information or to make an appointment, call ABI at 877-340-8777 or visit arkbi.org.
