Joyce Ann Hopkins004Joyce Ann Hopkins, 89, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June, 20, 2015 in her home in Van Buren. Born April 7, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Florence Wilcox of Little Rock, Arkansas and her husband, Dr. Ed G. Hopkins, Jr. originally of Nashville, Arkansas. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, the Garden Gate Club and PEO all of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park in Nashville, Arkansas, Thursday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m.
She is survived by five children: Ed Hopkins and Cyndy of Chatsworth, California, David Hopkins and wife Julie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jesse Hopkins and wife Kay of Rogers, Gloria Duerr and husband Tom of Purcellville, Virginia, Karen Nash and husband Kimmy of Van Buren; 13 Grandchildren: Jason Hopkins, Olivia Brown Hopkins, Nathan Hopkins, Kayla Hodson, Andy Hopkins, Jesse Hopkins, Jr., Rachael Hopkins, Isabelle Duerr, Ivy Duerr, Keegan Duerr, Grayson Herrera, Sam Herrera and step-grandson Wesley Nash; 12 great-grandchildren, Reid Hopkins, Paige Hopkins, Haylee Hopkins, Zoe Hopkins, Kaydance Hodson, Kylar Hodson, Cassidy Hopkins, Chloe Hopkins, Leah Hopkins, Connor Hopkins, Graham Hopkins, and Jourdynne Davison.
Pallbearers are Jason Hopkins, Nathan Hopkins, Jesse Hopkins, Jr., Keegan Duerr, Grayson Herrera, Tom Duerr and Kimmy Nash.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
