With an assist from Hope Lions, the Nashville Lions Club will sponsor a fish fry for on-going disaster relief for areas affected by the Mother’s Day tornado.
The fish fry will be Tuesday, June 9 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Howard County Fairgrounds in Nashville, ironically only a few blocks from the area hardest hit by the storm.
Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger.
In addition to the admission, monetary donations are gratefully accepted for the disaster fund-raiser.
According to Lions Club president Tommy Conzel, the menu includes fish, chicken, hushpuppies, French fries, cole slaw, dessert and a drink.
All proceeds go to area disaster relief and the local Lions Club general support fund.
Lions from multiple districts have already provided $2,000 in disaster relief for the Nashville area, and Lions are assisting in several residential and cemetery cleanup projects.
Conzel said the club welcomed assistance from anyone who wanted to help.
