Ellen Sue Davis Gibson
Ellen Sue Davis Gibson, age 71, of Glenwood, died Sunday, May 24, 2015.
She was born on April 21, 1944, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Virgil and Nancy Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buddy Gibson; and her son, Harve Porter.
She attended the Hilltop Full Gospel Church and was the custodian at Caddo Hills Schools for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and loved taking care of her dogs. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, who will all miss her dearly.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tubby and Cindy Porter of Caddo Gap; her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Todd Lambert of Bismarck; four grandchildren, Samantha Lambert and Patrick Lambert, Amber Hancock and her husband, Steven, and Kelsi Porter; two great-grandchildren, Kaylie and Trenton; her twin sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jerry Thornton of Glenwood; her nieces and nephews who she was “Nana Sue” to, Randy Porter, Tammie Doster and Robert “Bubba” Porter; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood.
The family will hold a private service.
Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of CHI St. Vincent – Hot Springs and her very special friend, Ann Loflin.
The family will be at 1471 Hwy. 70 W., Glenwood, Arkansas.
