De QUEEN – UA Cossatot students earning a degree or a certificate for the May 2015 semester were part of a history making class.
After all of the grades were tallied and calculated, 340 degrees and certificates were awarded to students. The commencement ceremony was held at the De Queen High School on Sat., May 9.
“Our graduation rates speak volumes about our goals for UA Cossatot students,” said Vice Chancellor of Academics, Dr. Maria Parker. “We have concentrated our efforts on retaining students and hands-on advising. We want our students to be comfortable with their degree plan and have a clear path about how to accomplish their goals.”
The graduation rates are traditionally higher during the spring semester since many students begin in August. However, the trend for UA Cossatot is that graduation rates consistently have improved. The graphic chart at right illustrates the graduation award rates.
