Bobbie Mae Campbell was born March 8, 1930 in Clow, Arkansas to the late Mr. Feazel and Georgia (Hall) Matlock. She passed away peacefully into her Savior’s Arms on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Nashville Rehabilitation Center in Nashville, Arkansas at the age of 85. Bobbie met and married Alfred C. Campbell on December 26, 1951, he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by one son, Gregory; a brother, Bertram Matlock and a sister, Annie Scoggins. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Wiley Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was an active member until her health failed her. She attended Clow Training School at Clow, Arkansas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and a homemaker. She was also an unlicensed nurse. She would travel near and far to nurture her sick family and friends back to health; which she did with great joy until her health failed her. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Janice D. Campbell of Nashville, Melba Campbell Givens (Charles) of Los Angeles, California, Evelyn F. Campbell of Oceanside, California; two sons, Alfred Campbell, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and Micheal Campbell (Sandra) of Mineral Springs; three brothers, Feazel and Ronald Matlock of Gary, Indiana, Freddie Matlock of Nashville; five sisters, Janice Steve (Joe) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Estella Shipp of League City, Texas, Lizzie Walker of Oakland, California, Virginia Pinner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Georgia Mary King of Hope; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Nashville. Burial will be Cummings Cemetery in Clow. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
