Dillard, BobbyNASHVILLE – Local business icon Bobby Gene Dillard passed away at age 86 Tuesday in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on July 27, 1928 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, to the late Eugene C. Dillard and Mary Alice (Spigner) Dillard.
Dillard was the owner of the Dillard Buick-Pontiac-GMC-dealer for 39 years and the oldest living member of the Sunset Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon from 1965 through 2013. He was also a former member of Nashville Lions Club, Nashville Rotary Club and Nashville Chamber of Commerce, as well as former Chairman of the Howard County Housing Authority, and an original Board member of the Nashville Parks and Recreation department.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sat., April 18 at the Sunset Church of Christ with Karon Baxley officiating. Burial will follow at the Restland Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
