Where are you taking me? Where are we going?

What if all of a sudden Jesus were to get into your car and ask you these questions? What would you say?

Do you let him speak to you, just anywhere, or only in your prayer closet. I have been asking myself these questions. Does he lead out my day, do I let him lead me in each decision I make. I have often wondered how many of us speak to him throughout the day,or only when we find ourselves on our knees when we are alone. If we can’t reach out to him, or simply just say thank you to him several times a day for all the wonderful things he does for us. Then where are we taking him? He states in his word, “If you deny me, I will deny you before my father.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be denied. Matthew 10:33 But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

I want to know him so closely that I take him everywhere, like he is riding shotgun in my car with me. We are on a long journey in this life, and he is going to tell us to take a left when we need to take a left and a right when we need to take right and maybe even duck or swerve. If we are obedient and listen, he will always guide us down the right path, one that always leads back to him.

So do you ask him before you do things,”Lord what do I do?” or “Lord can I have this or that?”. Are we letting him guide us down the right path or do we only speak to him in private places?

Do we obey when he does speak to us, or do we always just make the decision on our own, then run to him when things aren’t right.

Does he ride beside you in your car? Does he sit beside you at your desk? Would you let him sit at your dinner table? Do you let him go everywhere you go? Are you proud to say he is your savior? 2 Thessalonians 3:13
And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.

Treasures in Jars of Clay
8we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 9persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
