Gracie B. Evans, age 72, of Norman, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Norman.
She was born August 28, 1942 in Black Springs, Arkansas to the late Raymond Head and the late Verna Fountain Head. She worked in the Pharmaceutical business with Glaxco-Smith-Klein.
Gracie was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in North Carolina. She enjoyed art, and liked collecting coins and stamps. Most of all she loved her pets. She was a loving and kind mother, grandmother, companion, sister, and friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Curtis Ray Evans of Greenville, North Carolina and Paul Linwood Evans of Snow Hill, North Carolina; grandson, John Evans of Greenville, North Carolina; companion, Joffery Putman of Norman, Arkansas; brothers, Charnoch Head of Norman, Arkansas, George Head of Oklahoma and Paul Head of Norman, Arkansas; sister, Shirley Eudy of Norman, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Eddie Head
Funeral services was Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Beasley Wood Chapel with Brother Joe Head officiating. Interment followed in the Cox-Head Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Pallbearers were Pete Hillard, Mike Eudy, John Hillard, Jason Head, Darrell Roden, and Kenneth Brewer.
Visitation was Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Funeral Home.
