Fred Cross, 72 of Delight, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Delight. He was born on October 12, 1942 in Bowen, Arkansas, the son of the late Ray Cross and Effie (Bateman) Cross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond M. Cross. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a 32nd degree Mason. He is survived by a wife of 32 years and the mother of his two sons, Carolyn Cross of Delight; two sons, Randy Cross and wife, Stephanie of Delight, and Rick Cross and wife, Carol of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Juanita Hutcherson of Arkadelphia and Juanez May of Wyandotte, Michigan; six grandchildren, Laymon Cross and wife, Lauren, Luke Cross and wife, T.J., Taylor Cross, Jesslynn Cross, Savannah Cross, and Makenna Cross; and seven great grandchildren, Braden Cross, Graci Cross, Chloe Cross, Lilly Cross, Ally Cross, Layne Cross, and Kayleigh Cross. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Delight with Brother Verlon Wood and Brother Curtis Abernathy officiating. Burial to follow in Delight Cemetery in Delight under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
