Sandra was born on June 11, 1945, in Lodi, California, the daughter of J. Elvin Sutton and Nona Faye (Sutton) Mays. She spent most of her young life growing up and attending schools in northern Califorina; primarily in Santa Clara County. On August 31, 1963, she was married to Larry F. Mohrmann in Sunnyvale, California.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, J. Elvin Sutton and Nona Faye (Sutton) Mays. She was very active in the community and the Santa Clara Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for many years in the County Assessor and Tax Revenue Offices.
She came from a long heritage of local Arkansas Sutton family members. inclusive of; Jesse Thomas and wife “Renner” Sutton, Erwin A. and Estelle (Johns) Sutton; Phillip A. and Bea (Tilly) Sutton; Emma (Sutton) and Troy Buck; Judy (Sutton) and John W. Plyler and Thomas and Diane (Buck) Sutton. Carl W. and Anna (Forshee) Sutton; Junior and Peggy (Sutton) Spurling and Kyle Sutton of the Norman Arkansas area. In addition to these are numerous cousins locally.
Sandi was a sweet, kind-hearted woman, she lived to help those she thought might be in need and always put her family and friends first in her life. After suffering for a considerable while from her cancer, it is reassuring to her loved ones to know that she is now at restful peace and comfort with her Lord. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory shall be long lasting.
Sandi provided much assistance and support for the elderly at Oak Park Village Assisted Living in Glenwood. She did this by helping them with the dispensing and distribution of prescription drugs and medications.
Sandra loved to Quilt and Sew and won numerous awards for her handiwork (Mt. Ida Quilt Shows, Pike County Fair and Crafters Village in California)
Sandi is survived by her husband of 52 years; Larry F. Mohrmann, (retired Santa Clara Fire Dept.) two sons and one daughter-in-law, Derick F. Mohrmann of Rock Springs, Wy., his two sons Logan F. and Caden D. Mohrmann. Second son Brian E. and wife DeAnna (Jordan) Mohrmann; and their son Tyler A. Mohrmann of San Jose, California. Sandi has one sister, Sharon (Sutton) Chapin of Lebanon, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews which live in Missouri.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Pastor Bryan Adair officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Cremation will follow with a Monument placed at the Mount Tabor Cemetery.
