Mrs. Helen Louise Alexander Stokes, age 92, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Dierks. She was born January 31, 1923 in Dierks to the late Jesse and Betty Young Alexander.  Helen was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Stokes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.O. “Boy” Stokes and one son, James Harlon “Pete” Stokes. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Stokes and Linda of Gaylesville, Alabama and Billy Conn Stokes and Iris of Dierks; one sister, Mattie Walters of De Queen; four grandchildren, Betsy Holder, Leslie Stokes, Tina Arnold and Christy Barkley; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Stokes will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Fellowship Cemetery in Dierks with Carroll Jackson officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:15 p.m., Sunday, March 22^nd at 1^st United Methodist Church fellowship hall in Dierks. You may register on-line at www.wilkersonfuneralhomes.com
