Homer Davis, 88, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Monday March 16, 2015 at the VA hospital, Palliative Care Unit in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born on February 4, 1927, in Nashville, Arkansas, the son of the late William Pierce and Bunie (Theobolt) Davis.
Mr. Davis was a member of the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro, and a WWII Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edna Davis; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include one son, Jerry Davis of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Joan Hooper of Murfreesboro; one sister, Neva Lingo of Murfreesboro; one grandson, Cody Hooper of Murfreesboro; two granddaughters, Krystle Capitain and husband Jason of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Heather Bennett and husband Chuck of El Dorado; and a host of other family and friends that mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be on Friday March 20, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Latimer Funeral Home chapel in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Al Terrell, Bro. Rob Evans, and Bro. Chuck Bennett. Burial to follow at Academy Cemetery in Nathan, Arkansas. Visitation will be at 12:00 P.M. on Friday March 20, 2015 just before service time.
