Mr. Dayton Lavon Kitchens, age 58, resident of Kensett, Ark., passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at The Blossoms at Oakdale in Judsonia, Ark.
He was born on May 27, 1967, in De Queen, Ark. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Dierks. He impacted the lives of many as a High School football coach in Arkansas for 13 years.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dwight and Lenora Pinkerton Kitchens.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Kitchens of Kensett, Ark.; one daughter, Annalee Worley, and one granddaughter, Ellory Worley, both of Judsonia, Ark.; three sisters, Debra Laster (Dan) of Texarkana, Ark., Donna Blubaugh (David) of Lavon, Texas, and Deanna Davis (Mike) of Stamps, Ark., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Kitchens will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks, with Travis Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery in Dierks, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the funeral home in Dierks.
