Harvy Dean Walston, 89, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Nashville, the son of the late James C. and Lavada Self Walston.
He was a retired US Air Force veteran of Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jo Russell Walston; six brothers, Cotas, Homer, Doyle, Jay B., Dewelee, and Baby Walston; and three sisters Eunice Barnes, Deselee Canaday, and Pearl Walston.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary Dean and Deborah Walston of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Stevey Joe Walston of Whitesboro, Texas; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Castleberry of Sherman, Texas; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, in the chapel of Chapelwood Funeral Home, Texarkana, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
