Gwen Nina Gilbert, age 81, a resident of Hope, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at The Blossoms in Dierks, Ark.
Gwen was born on March 1, 1944, in Dierks, Ark. She was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church in Hope. She enjoyed working in her yard, loved flowers, and spending time with her church family.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Vertis and Nina Morris Deaton; one brother, Elvis Deaton; one grandchild, Michael Dove; her first husband and father of her children, Robert Walker; and her second husband, Denzil Gilbert.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Walker and Rodney (Leisa) Walker; two sisters, Shelba McClain and Brenda Hill; seven grandchildren, Jason Welch, Joni Walker, Randon Walker, Zack Walker, Jacob Lonewolf, Lyndzey Lonewolf, and Jacquelyne Lonewolf; 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Gwen will be held from 1-2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at the Dierks Chapel with a graveside funeral service at 2:30 p.m., at Dierks Cemetery, with Kevin Harrington officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
