
Beatrice June (Wells) Muse, 87, of Newhope, Ark., passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on Oct. 13, 1938, in Elgin, Okla., to the late Robert Lee and Julia Wells.
On Aug. 2, 1956, Bea married the love of her life, Bill Muse, and together they built a home filled with love and laughter. A love that grew to include five children, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was a Baptist and a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, her plants, and spending time with her family. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor.
Mrs. Muse was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bill Muse; her parents, Robert Lee and Julia White Wells; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Debbie Holder, Kim and Mark Hooper, Cheryl and Scott De La Rosa, all of Dierks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Shelley Muse of Sallisaw, Okla., Brett and Suzanne Muse of Dierks; seven grandchildren, Carissa Holder of Bryant, Ark., Jonna Holder of Denver, Colo., Masan Muse of Newhope, Jessica Friday of Redlick, Texas, Sheyanne Barton of Washington, Ark., Halee De La Rosa of Nashville, Ark. and Madasan Deputy of Dierks; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Granny Bea will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Bro. Bobby Rosson officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery in Dierks.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time.
