
Patsy Ann Thrash, age 76, of Venus, Texas, passed away on Thursday
morning, Oct. 16, 2025, at her residence in Venus. She was born on
Nov. 18, 1948, in Nashville, Ark., the only child of the late Vernon and Faye Hodges of Hope, Ark.
Mrs. Thrash was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Melton Thrash. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was filled with love, laughter, and compassion for others.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Thrash owned several resale shops in various cities. She especially enjoyed attending garage sales and storage auctions, where she made many lifelong friends and created lasting memories. In her later years, she took great pleasure in simple joys, such as her favorite vanilla ice cream and Smashburgers from Sonic.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Lisa Thrash of Venus, Texas, and Wayne and Chastity Thrash of Midlothian, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren — Kristina Thrash, Brittney
Swarb, Ryan Thrash, Brody Thrash, Courtney Cox, Britney Norgan, Nathan Cox, Michael Thrash Jr., and Carson Thrash — as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at Ozan Cemetery in Nashville, Arkansas (1958–1960 AR-27).
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
