Shelley Rykiel McElroy, 38, died Oct. 1, 2025. She was born Oct. 31, 1987, to Marilyn Shelley McElroy and the late James Otis McElroy Sr.
Survivors include: her husband, Griford Cheridor; her mother, Marilyn Shelley-McElroy; daughters, Justice Moore, Tatianna Johnson, and Nahla Cheridor; sons Jamison Cheridor and Hadley Cheridor; a sister, Telisa Shelley; a brother, James McElroy Jr.
Services were Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at New Zion Baptist Church, Lockesburg. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by McFadden & Hitchye Funeral Enterprises, Hope.
