Ozan Rural Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual fundraiser BBQ Saturday, Sept. 13, from 5-7 p.m.
The meal is a choice of BBQ ribs or chicken served with potato salad, beans, homemade bread, dessert and tea or water. Dine in or carry-out is available.
There is a minimum donation of $10 for each meal.
There will also be a raffle drawing for a Henry 360 Buckhammer Lever-Action Rifle and auction beginning at 7:00.
The fundraiser will be held at the Ozan Rural Volunteer Fire Department station in Ozan, 111 City Street, immediately behind the Post Office. For more information, call (870) 557-2352.
The Blevins and Deann Firefighter Chili Bowl competition fundraiser will be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Blevins Fire Department at 5:30 p.m.
Firefighters will compete in a cookout to share with the communities, who will be the judges of the contest.
There will be a $10 minimal donation to participate in the chili tasting.
Donations received are an effort to support Blevins firefighter Jimmy Jordan and family from a recent medical procedure.
