Johnny Wilson (right) and his wife Ruth display the citation which he received from the Arkansas Activities Association in Little Rock. The citation recognizes Wilson’s service to athletics in Nashville and statewide for more than 50 years. The presentation was made during the AAA governing board meeting July 28. Wilson has been a coach and teacher in the Nashville School District throughout that time and is a member of the Scrapper Hall of Honor. He is the stadium voice of the Scrapper football team and announces Scrapper baseball on KMTB, 99.5 FM, and on the Scrap Media livestream. He also teaches junior high math.
