Kelly Ray Scott, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Nashville, Ark., on Monday, July 28, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born on Feb. 4, 1941, in the small community of Stapp Zoe, Ark., Kelly shared a birthday with his beloved mother, Alice. He was the son of John Peter Kelly Scott and Alice Wilson Scott.

Kelly and his devoted wife, Maggie, were married for 64 years and together raised three children, instilling in them lasting values such as a strong work ethic and the belief that “you’re only as old as you feel.”

He spent many years working throughout Arkansas, finishing sheetrock and cabinetry in homes across the region. Later, he completed his career at Tyson Foods in Nashville, where he formed many lifelong friendships.

Outside of work, Kelly found joy in cheering on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events, always their biggest fan. He also loved to fish and golf whenever the opportunity arose.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie Stafford Scott of Nashville; three children, Kelly Scott, Jr. (Ramona) of Nashville, Danny Scott (Teresa) of Nashville, and Sara Sullivan (Danny) of Nashville; his grandchildren, Kelly Ryan Scott (Mariana) of Nashville, Derek Scott (Kamron) of Texarkana, Texas, Ashley Turner (Cole) of Springhill, Ark., Brady Scott (Alayna) of Nashville, Autumn Sullivan of Prescott, Ark., Addison Sullivan of Nashville, Clay Sullivan of Nashville; as well as 10 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2nd at 10:30 a.m., at Unity Baptist Church, 381 Buck Range Road, Nashville, Ark. There will be no graveside service.
