MURFREESBORO — The results of the 2017 school board elections are as follows:

South Pike County School District

Zone 1 — Sarnia Minton 59, Shane Branch 43

Zone 2 — Trent Cox 61, Barbie Baxter 40

Zone 7 — Jeramy Humphry 0

For Tax 151, Against Tax 77

According to County Clerk Sandy Campbell, by receiving zero votes, Humphry didn’t win the election. She said he can be appointed by the board to serve, and he would have to run again in the next election cycle to officially “win” the position.

Kirby School District

Position 5 — Blake Harmon 173, Wade Stewart 51

Position 6 — Randy Stewart 115, Dustin Young 104

Position 7 — Eric Conner 76, Dan Funderburk 147

For Tax 156, Against Tax 66

Centerpoint School District

Position 7 — Lisa Wright 1

For Tax 1, Against Tax 0

The results of the election are unofficial until certified by the Pike County Election Commission on Friday, Sept. 22.
