James Lewis Weaver, age 88 of Nashville, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 25, 2013

James Lewis Weaver, age 88 of Nashville, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Nashville. He was born July 27, 1925 in Prescott, Arkansas, to the late Cap and Cue Weaver. He was retired from British Petroleum as an oil field pumper. Mr. Weaver attended the Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Murfreesboro. He was an Army veteran serving as a Rifleman in Company A 48th Armed Infantry Battalion. He had received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star, as well as the Combat Infantry Badge. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed cutting firewood. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Arlene Hoover Weaver in 1992; three sisters, Joy, Juanita, and Maudie. He was the last of his siblings. His survivors include his second wife, Hope Marie Weaver of Nashville; four children, Brenda and husband Mike Reid of Nashville, Richard and wife Nell Sillavan of Nashville, George and wife Sharon Sillavan of Texarkana, and Jerry and wife Janice Sillavan of Nashville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. Services will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Nashville Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Burks and Bro. Jon Funderburg officiating. Interment will follow in Restland memorial Park under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
