UA Cossatot, the Nashville School District and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce host the Be Pro, Be Proud Mobile Unit at the old practice field of the Nashville High School campus on Thursday, Sept. 22 and Friday, Sept. 23.

The Mobile Unit will be utilized by junior high and high school students Thursday and Friday during school hours.

It will be available for the public during the Scrapper Tailgate Party from 5-7 p.m., according to Amy Westfall, career coach at NJHS and NHS.

Be Pro, Be Proud is an initiative led by the Associated Industries of Arkansas. It is designed to take a new generation of professionals to Arkansas’s skilled workforce.

The initiative says tens of thousands of manufacturing jobs are unskilled in Arkansas. It encourages businesses to open their doors to students at every level, connect with two-year colleges and trade schools, and engage with community leaders to demonstrate the opportunities for skilled workers.
